3. State and local governments that deliver the benefits of citizenship to our everyday lives in the cities and states where we live
4. We the People — whose collective consciousness and action must be activated toward everyone’s thriving
5. The institutional leaders, decision makers, and capital allocators who hold disproportionate influence over how the nation governs

Ultimately, whether these institutions are redesigned to finally govern for all will be determined by what animates this renewal — and whether we leave behind the practices of exclusion that have kept this nation, and generations of its people, behind. Will we remake the design and reorient our resources so they are driven by a consciousness that holds all people and are accountable to delivering real results in service of their thriving?

Through research-driven strategies, PolicyLink is igniting the dormant power of a belief already deeply held by the majority of Americans: that this country must become a nation that cares for everyone.

Through partnerships, campaigns, and research, we are breaking down the barriers that have kept people from turning their deeply held belief into decisive and sustained action for a nation that serves everyone. These efforts aim not only to deepen the understanding that each of us has a role and responsibility in creating this future—but also to inspire the sustained, courageous action needed to make it real.

To realize the vision of a nation that truly governs for all, our institutions must be intentionally designed—and held accountable—to deliver outcomes for everyone. At the federal level, PolicyLink is advancing bold governing standards and reimagining the 14th Amendment to establish an affirmative duty for government to proactively serve and protect the rights of We the People. In parallel, we are working to set new corporate standards that define what responsible business looks like in a thriving, equitable economy—ensuring the private sector contributes to, and not just consumes, the common good.

Reallocated Resources: Allocated to Deliver Results for All

A desire and design for the right outcomes for all are essential but insufficient if resources are not aligned to ultimately deliver those results. In a nation of abundance, we have the opportunity to invest public and private resources for the well-being of people that reside in the United States of America. All sectors — from government, to civil society, to private industry — have a role to play in braiding our collective resources to make real our vision of a nation that governs for all.
