Janis Yee, Director of Institutional Giving, leads collaborative engagement strategies to strengthen relationships with the philanthropic community towards investing in PolicyLink’s critical work. As a community empowerment champion for over a decade, Janis brings experience in designing and implementing programs geared toward increasing the impact and growth of equity-driven organizations through relationship building, communications, outreach, and development strategies. Prior to joining PolicyLink, Janis served as Director of Advancement for the California Budget & Policy Center where she led both development and outreach programs. She also served on various advisory and steering committees focused on centering anti-racism in nonprofit operations. Janis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with minors in cconomics and psychology from the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. In her spare time, Janis can be spotted at various local festivals and markets, cheering on the sidelines at youth sporting events, and enjoying outdoor activities with her family.
