Deepak Lamba-Nieves, Infrastructure & Transportation Justice Director at PolicyLink, leads place-based strategy in Puerto Rico, leveraging his deep understanding of the island's challenges and opportunities to advance equitable development solutions. Prior to joining PolicyLink, he spearheaded impactful research and policy initiatives focused on fostering economic development opportunities. This extensive experience at the intersection of research and policy, honed through roles in both the NGO and think tank sectors, has equipped him with a keen understanding of complex societal issues and their policy implications. Deepak has a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Puerto Rico, a Masters in city planning from UC Berkeley and a PhD in urban studies and planning from MIT. He also completed a postdoc at Brown University's Watson Institute for international and public affairs.
