Info Session: Equitable Fine and Fee Reform Bootcamp
December 9, 2021
Fines and fees have devastated the lives of millions of Americans, trapping them in a cycle of poverty and punishment — with the harms overwhelmingly falling on communities living on low incomes and people of color. Cities & Counties for Fine and Fee Justice (CCFFJ) is a national network of policymakers and community partners committed to meaningful fine and fee reform, that works better for people and for government. Building on the success of the inaugural CCFFJ cohort, this session provides an introduction to the upcoming CCFFJ Bootcamp in March 2022, an opportunity to deep-dive into equitable fine and fee policy reform and a first step to be a part of the network’s second cohort working on more equitable practices that make a difference in the lives of hundreds of thousands of people across the country.
